RealTracs Email as a POP3 Account within Gmail

Setting RealTracs as a POP3 Account within Gmail

 

Adding your RealTracs email within Gmail will allow you to both "Send Mail As" and receive your RealTracs emails within Gmail. For this to occur, you must have the "Host My Mail" option selected within your RealTracs user profile. Please verify that you have this option selected by performing the following:

  1. Log into RealTracs. 
  2. Click on your name in the upper-right hand corner of your screen.
  3. Choose the Edit My Profile option.
  4. Verify the option to "Host My Email" is selected
  5. Click Save at the bottom of the page.

 

Now that you've verified that you have the "Host My Mail" option selected, you now need to create your RealTracs account within Gmail.

  1. Login into Gmail
  2. Click on Gmail's gear icon in the upper-right hand corner
  3. Choose Settings
  4. Click on the Accounts and Import tab
  5. Click the Add a mail account link located within the center of the page

 

 

Gmail will launch a new window walking you through the POP3 account setup. If the new window

does not open within your browser, verify that your popup blocker is not enabled for the page.

  1. Enter your RealTracs email address and click Next Step.
  2. Select the option to "Import emails from my other account (POP3)" and click Next.
  3. You will next be prompt to input the mail settings for the account. Please input the settings as shown below:
    • Username: Your RealTracs Email
    • Password: Your RealTracs Password
    • POP Server (First select Other from the drop-down): secure.emailsrvr.com
    • Port: 995
    • Leave a copy of retrieved message on the server: Unchecked
    • Always use a secure connection (SSL) when retrieving mail: Checked
    • Label incoming messages: Your RealTracs Email
    • Archive incoming messages: Unchecked
  4. After filling out these settings, click Add Account.
  5. Choose the option "Yes, I want to be able to send mail as..." and click Next
  6. Input your name into the Name field and check the option to "Treat as an alias." Then, click Next Step.
  7. Next, we need to configure Gmail to allow sending through RealTracs SMTP server. Please input the settings as shown below:
    • SMTP Server: secure.emailsrvr.com
    • Port: 465
    • Username: Your RealTracs Email
    • Password: Your RealTracs Password
    • Secured connection using SSL (recommended): Checked
    • Secured connection using TLS: Unchecked
  8. Then click Add Account.
  9. Last, you will need to confirm your RealTracs email address with Gmail. For this step, you'll need to login to RealTracs and click your name in the top corner of the screen, and select Launch Realtracs Email. There you will find a confirmation email from Gmail. Please input the confirmation code contained within the email into the last step of the account setup window within Gmail. Once the code is inputted into the confirmation field, click Verify.

 

Congratulations! The window should close and you should now see your RealTracs account displayed within Gmail's "Check mail from other accounts" section. You can now send and receive email for your RealTracs account within Gmail!
