SETTINGS: Email Setup - iPhone & iPad

 

These steps will assist with creating a Realtracs account within the iPhone and iPad's Mail application. If an existing RealTracs account is already setup on the device, that account MUST be removed prior to inputting the new account's settings. If there is not an existing RealTracs account setup on the device, please proceed to the "Setting up your mailbox " section of this document.  

From the home screen:

  1. From your home screen, find the 'Settings' app.  Then, scroll down and tap 'Mail'.

  2. Tap 'Accounts', then tap 'Other'.

  3. Tap Accounts.
  4. Tap the RealTracs account (Note: Be sure that POP is not displayed above "Account" on this screen. If so, please contact our support team to prevent loss of your old emails)
  5. Tap "Delete Account".

Note: After the account has been deleted you MUST power the device OFF and back ON.




Setting up your mailbox:


From the home screen:

  1. Tap the Settings App.
  2. Tap Mail.
  3. Tap Accounts.
  4. Tap Add Account.
  5. Tap Other.
  6. Tap Add Mail Account.
  7. As shown to the right, enter the following:
    • Name: Your First & Last
    • Email: Your RealTracs Email
    • Password: Your RealTracs Password
    • Description: Your Preference
  8. Tap Next.


Ensure IMAP is selected at the top and fill in the following:

  1. Incoming Mail Server/Host Name: secure.emailsrvr.com
  2. User Name: Your RealTracs Email
  3. Outgoing Mail Server/Host Name: secure.emailsrvr.com
  4. User Name: Your RealTracs Email
  5. Password: Your RealTracs Password (required)
  6. Tap Next
  7. Wait for your account to verify your account settings, then tap Save



Please Note: 

  • All passwords are case sensitive
  • Phone may denote that the User Name and Password are optional for Outgoing settings; however, RealTracs accounts require these fields to be entered for the account to function properly
  • Phone/Tablet will automatically setup your account as SSL. No port numbers are required. We do not recommend setting up an account as non-SSL.
